USA Today Story Features Alonso Chehade

On December 28, 2009, the USA Today published an article on the efforts of young adults seeking to halt or delay their deportations through social activism.  The article, entitled “Groups try to delay deportations of illegal immigrant students” was written by Emily Bazar, a staff writer at the newspaper.  The article discusses the efforts of our client, Jorge Alonso Chehade, in fighting for the right to remain in the United States.  The article describes Alonso’s efforts to use social media efforts such as Facebook and the DREAM Activist website to support his cause, and those of other similarly situated students.

Karol Brown, one of Alonso Chehade’s attorneys at Global Justice Law Group, was interviewed for this story.
