Shannon Underwood, a partner at Global Justice Law Group, was quoted in a recent Seattle Times article, “Obama’s new deportation policy stirs Seattle-area immigrants.” The article describes how many immigrants do not understand the new policy to suspend the deportations in certain cases. While this new policy is a welcome change for many already in deportation proceedings, we will have to wait and see how many people will ultimately benefit.
