Karol Brown, Immigration Attorney, quoted in article on Asylum Backlogs in Immigration Court

On June 15, 2010, Abby Sewell of the Medill News Service published a story on “Immigration court backlog keeps asylum seekers in limbo.”  The story describes how people seeking asylum in the U.S. from persecution in their home countries are experiencing significant delays in the backlogged U.S. immigration courts.  This backlog has caused longer wait times for immigration cases to be resolved.  Asylum seekers experience many difficulties as a result of these delays.

The article quoted Karol Brown, a partner and immigration attorney at Global Justice Law Group, as saying: “It’s a very difficult circumstance we put people in who are escaping persecution.”
